# Egress cost questions

What constitutes egress from a particular cloud? Is it just “bytes that go to the internet” or does the rate change based on where the egressing data is stored (object storage, block storage for a VM, database…)

Next I’ve heard there might be some sort of egress cost waiver. How does this work in Cloudbank?

Finally how can I see egress charges for purposes of managing my budget? Is this set up for all the clouds that Cloudbank works with?
